Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League (WNWBL)
In March, Sydney Uni Sport and Fitness (SUSF) announced the integration of the first Australian University wheelchair basketball team into the Sydney Uni Flames basketball program for 2010. At the completion of round two the new Sydney Uni Wheelchair Flames (formerly Hills Hornets) topped the ladder with Western Stars a close 2nd position, Victoria Dandenong Rangers firmly in 3rd place and the Goudkamp Gladiators in 4th spot.
The third round of the WNWBL sees the teams travel to Victoria to compete from 14th - 16th May at Dandenong Stadium. At the completion of round three the league takes a slight break while the Australian Gliders head over to the Paralympic Cup in Manchester in May and World Championships in Birmingham in July.
The WNWBL will recommence with round four being held in Sydney on the 6th – 8th August.
