Suncoast Spinners host a tournament in January each year which is recognized on the national basketball calendar. The tournament brings together athletes from around Australia and overseas in what is the premier showcase event for wheelchair basketball in the state of Queensland. The tournament caters to all levels of skill with Premier Grade, A Grade and B Grade sections. Paralympians to beginners all compete at the one event offering great skill and mentoring.
This three day event highlights the immense talent here on the Sunshine Coast. Suncoast Spinners Wheelchair Basketball Tournament has grown from a six team event nine years ago to become the largest wheelchair basketball tournament in Queensland with 22 teams attending in 2015 from around Australia.
